Arena Season 2 gets delayed one week

A recent development on the upcoming patch designed specifically for Arena Season 2 has forced the season itself to get delayed by one week to June 19. World of Warcraft‘s Arena Season 2 was tentatively scheduled for June 12, 2007, as revealed by Drysc back in May.

True to its nature, the tentative date got pushed back another full week, but it should matter not to many of the active Arena gladiators practicing at present. Arena point standing prior to the start of the season will not matter, because Blizzard plans to reset all standings to the neutral level of 1500.

But rest assured that Arena Season 2 will carry over new gear and hopefully fixes for the Arena gear bugs, prompting their return to the Arena gear vendor. As for Arena points carrying over to the second season, we have no information if items can be purchased using unused Arena points from World of Warcraft‘s first professional PvP season.

We’ll continue to keep you updated as more info comes in.
