Armored Core 4 ain’t in Kansas no more (screens galore)
Phasers, and lasers, and teasers. Oh my! Dorothy wouldn’t definitely have followed the Yellow Brick road if she were to have come across all these in the forest. But for those who believe that an Armored Core game would be incomplete without all those weaponry and addons, then venture forth, my little pretties…
We’ve got another batch of screens to blow away your blue-checkered pinafore dresses and picnic baskets. While the essential, ahem, core of the game franchise is still there, it seems like Armored Core 4 was taken by a sweeping tornado and placed it down into a far better league than the rest in the series. It’s slated for next-gen, after all: mecha-loving PS3 and Xbox 360 owners would get a piece of their metal-bashing-on-metal action. The phrase “heavy metal” sure is an understatement now.
The game’s definitely gone far. I remember the boxy heyday of its earlier brothers, and now, this game is looking mighty excellent. It’s got all the flying, customizability, and attachable rocket launchers to last you a life time (ruby slippers not included).
