Armored Core 4: Japan updates and release dates
From Software has recently announced that they have updated the regulation file of the PS3 version of Armored Core 4. Now at Version 1.20, the new Regulation file is set to address a lot of player requests that were sent in via an online questionnaire at the official Japanese Armored Core website. A lot of the changes implemented had to do with with issues regarding game balance.
As pro-player as this news seems, we have to report that unfortunately, From Software have also reset the server rankings again – this is something that website Insert Credit assumes a lot of Japanese players are upset about.
Insert Credit notes that the updated Regulation file feature may be something unique to the PS3. That is, of course, unless the guidelines for the Xbox 360 version of the game are changed. The site claims that as far as they’re aware, selectable patches isn’t something that Microsoft allows.
Speaking of the Xbox 360, Famitsu has recently reported that the 360 version of Armored Core 4 is going to go on sale earlier than expected. The Xbox 360 version of the game is now reported to hit Japanese retail on the 20th of March. This date is said to coincide with the release of the American version.
In light of Lost Planet Xbox Live activity, we’re not wondering how the XBL environment for Armored Core 4 will turn out. Especially since Japanese players have had about a months worth of playtime already.
