As you all know, the upcoming Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 video game Army of Two from Electronic Arts will carry an online component. Given that, we really can’t blame the developers if they compare the services Xbox Live and PlayStation Network.
According to assistant producer Matt Turner, their team is currently more familiar with Microsoft‘s online service and find its features more user-friendly. Despite these, Turner said that he still fully supports Sony‘s PSN. The official explained:
There are extra challenges with PSN just because the PS3 is newer to our team so we’ve had to work through some growing pains, getting used to a whole new system of development.
But it has all of the capabilities, it’s just that at the moment we have more experience on the Xbox.
Turner, as early as now, is informing players that the fate suffered by Burnout Paradise‘s online performance will not happen to the PS3 version of Army of Two. The assistant producer further mentioned that the PS3 online experience will be similar to the Xbox 360 one.
“We have friends lists accessible during the game, you can send invites and your friends can join you – it’s as easy as doing it on Xbox Live,” added Turner.
