According to the official press release Microsoft sent out, starting on September 10, Japan will be selling the Elite model from ¥ 39,800 (US$ 431.42) to ¥ 29,800 (US$ 323.02). Again, this will not be carrying the HDMI cable any longer.
Meanwhile, the 60GB Pro unit, announced to be discontinued, will be let open to retailers for pricing. Once the last of the units gets sold, that’s it. No more stocks will be shipped out. The Arcade model, on the other hand, will stand at its current price of Â¥ 19,800 yen (US $214/ GB£ 132).
Also getting a price cut would be the 60GB Xbox 360 hard drive and 512MB memory unit. The rest of the Asia-Pacific region will also see the price cut starting on the same day, September 10, 2009.
