In our previous article, it was already confirmed that the Nintendo DS will be getting Assassin's Creed: Altair's Chronicles. Well, we've got even more news for you about the game including mode details about the storyline, a few screenshots, and the game's release date, and expected price.

According to the press release sent in by Ubisoft, Assassin's Creed: Altair's Chronicles is the direct prequel to Assassin's Creed on the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC. Players can expect to find out more about Altair's past as the game takes him through four cities of the Crusade's Middle East. Oh, and did we mention that the levels will be in 3D?

Ubisoft EMEA Marketing Director John Parkes had this to say, "AssassinÂ’s Creed AltairÂ’s Chronicles will be a title that resonates with those who played the console version as well as those who have yet to discover the secrets of AssassinÂ’s Creed."

If you can't wait for Assassin's Creed: Altair's Chronicles, it is expected to be out this February 2008 for 29.99 GBP (about US$ 59). While waiting for the game to come out, why don't you check out some of these screenshots?
