Assassins Creed for the Xbox 360: Finally official?
Lately, there has been a lot of confusion regarding Assassin’s Creed‘s status as a Playstation 3 exclusive. Rumors of a possible Xbox 360 version have been widespread, but a few weeks ago, a Ubisoft Community Manager denied the rumors, almost as if his company itself had no idea if there was going to be a Xbox 360 version.
ComputerAndVideogames.com has now posted a preview of the game in their Xbox 360 section, starting the article as if there were never any doubts of Assassin’s Creed coming to the Xbox 360: “Ubisoft’s intriguing 360 and PS3 assassin ’em-up stalks through the streets of old Jerusalem“.
The article doesn’t mention the back-and-forth debate surrounding the game’s alleged exclusivity a single time. Very strange. And with previews like this one posted, the situation should be pretty clear now. Still, official word from Ubisoft has yet to reach us – maybe it’s not a question of exclusivity but simply of portability.
So either, the little circus will go on over the next few days, or Ubisoft will finally step forward and clear matters. Obviously, we’d all be better off with the latter.
