diveWhile Assassin’s Creed II did deliver on the promise of improving playability, some still felt that gaps along the storyline needed some filling. For that, Ubisoft is releasing downloadable content that’ll set the record straight.

The first of the two, Sequence 12: Battle of Forli, contains six new missions worth of aiding Machiavelli and Caterina Sforza from Orsi Brothers, all while keeping the Templars from getting a Piece of Eden. The addition also includes another ride aboard Da Vinci’s flying contraption, love it or hate it.

The other one, Sequence 13: Bonfire of the Vanities, unlocks a new area in Florence, where the mad monk Saconarola is large and in charge. Help Machiavelli out on this one across more than 10 new memories while mastering your new move, the Spring Jump, which comes with this pack.

Forli comes at US$ 3.99, while Bonfire will be at US$ 4.99. It awfully sounds like the DLC is merely filling in storyline gaps, so you might say that you’d be paying nine bucks to complete the game, which is a big slap on the forehead when talking about post-launch support.
