Assassin’s Creed on consoles to be 5% different from each other

No matter how convincing their claims may be, naysayers would still argue that Assassin’s Creed (PS3, Xbox 360, PC) simply won’t be the same on platforms it’ll appear on. To clear it up, Lead Engineer Mathieu Mazerolle stated that the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions will only have 5% or less difference between each other. That isn’t to say one version will be 5% better than the other. Taking Mazerolle’s words:

…itÂ’s really just an approximation and a statement that while the two versions are very similar, there will be (as there always is) small, hopefully imperceptible, differences between the two versions within a very small threshold.

Either way, Ubisoft Montreal is “squeezing every last drop of performance out of the processors on both consoles to make the game as cool as possible on the screen.” To shoot down worries of the 360 version having less content because of its storage format limitation, Mazerolle added, “We have all the content we need for the game fitting on a DVD as it is.”
