Atari bares new Downstream Panic! videos and screenshots
Appearances can be deceiving. For example, a game with a cutesy look to it may actually require a keen mind to solve the puzzles contained in it. One example of such a game is Atari‘s Downstream Panic!, and the following videos and screenshots will probably best illustrate our point. Something fishy’s going on after the jump.
Life is full of irony. For example, you have an Atari game with the title Downstream Panic!, but the bright and colorful backgrounds and the cheerful music don’t appear be conducive to actually panicking. But don’t be fooled – the actual gameplay, as demonstrated by two new videos and two new screenshots, just might have you doing that.
Aptly-entitled as “Let It Flow” and “A Bright, Sunny Day,” these two Downstream Panic! videos demonstrate how a positive atmosphere and deep, strategic thinking need not be mutually exclusive. In both videos, the player illustrates several ways of saving the poor fishies in two different levels.
Granted, Atari’s Downstream Panic! has a lot of eye candy, so it would be better to show you what we mean instead of just talking about it:
