Atlus turns Ikuze! Gen-san into Hammerin’ Hero, game slated for March 2009 US release
Atlus is once again bringing another Japanese PSP game to the US: Ikuze! Gen-san, a PlayStation Portable title from Irem that pits a kind-hearted carpenter against a dastardly construction company.
The game has been rebranded as Hammerin’ Hero, probably because “Hammertime”‘s already taken. More after the jump.

The game has been rebranded as Hammerin’ Hero, probably because “Hammertime”‘s already taken. There’s only one thing to remember in Hammerin’ Hero as you move through the game’s 12 levels: if it moves, hammer it. Pretty good advice.
Other features include unlockable characters and ad-hoc multiplayer for up to 2 players. Oh, the game also includes Japanese voice acting in addition to the English voices, so that should be a treat for the Japanophiles.
Hammerin’ Hero is currently slated for a US release on March 3. MSRP has been set at US$ 29.99. Here’s a trailer so that you can get a better idea of how the game plays out.
