Au revoir: Nintendo shuts down Europe forums

Nintendo Company Ltd. is sending word that they have just shut down their official Europe forums. In their official statement at the official Europe site, they explained that aside from previous security issues, another reason for the shutdown was the boom of other more dedicated (and more well-mantained) community forums.

These forums, Nintendo explained, were more capable of handling the game community. Here reads part of their official announcement:

Given the growth of all these other online communities, we think visitors to our website would be best served if we focused all our energies on putting together a new Nintendo-Europe.com that will offer Club Nintendo members a number of new features for an expanded experience with our products.

We would like to thank all our members that have participated in the community forums over the years, and we hope you will enjoy all the exciting new features on the horizon.

About a week ago, it will be remembered that the company had also shut down the Nsider forums, and also advised the fans to rally under their own community forums. We’ll get back to you in case this matter receives any new information.
