AU’s OFLC rates Mario Kart Wii; launch yet to be announced

This pretty much means that the game will soon be arriving on the Nintendo Wii console and i will be  much to the delight of Mario Kart  fans in the Land Down Under. More on this after the jump!

This pretty much means that the game will soon be arriving on the Nintendo Wii console and i will be  much to the delight of Mario Kart fans in the Land Down Under.

If you’re not familiar with the game, it’s a racing game from Nintendo which features characters such as Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, and Bowser among others. Veterans of the series will be pleased to know that the characters can jump once again, tracks from Mario Kart: Double Dash were added to the game, and there is also support for up to 12 players in online matches.

Unfortunately, the exact release date for Mario Kart Wii in Australia still hasn’t been announced. On the other hand, North American and Japanese gamers can expect the title to hit their shores during Spring 2008. European fans, lastly, will get it in Q2 of 2008.
