Australia gets a Bill Gates-signed Vista Ultimate
Because the folks from down under start a day early, they got to celebrate the launch of Vista earlier than most – midnight of January 29. Aussies gathered at the Harvey Normans, the store for computer media and enthusiasts. Tracey Fellows, Managing Director of Microsoft Australia, and Gerry Harvey, chairman of Harvey Norman, arrived at the branch in Alexandria and began a raffle draw to single out the lucky first customer in Australia to purchase a Vista. Crikey!
The lucky guy? Why, it’s none other than William Tsang, who is probably the first lucky dude in the world to receive a Windows Vista Ultimate Edition signed by Bill Gates. Soon many others will follow suit as Microsoft celebrates the launching of Vista and Office 2007.
There are more photos covering the big bash at Harvey Norman, all brought to you by bernardoh, who was also present at the launch. Check ’em out at the “Full Article”.
