Back to Basics

Steve emailed me asking for some getting-started type of posts on digital photography. So while I’ve covered a few topics, like histograms and exif data, I’ll revert back to some of the basics.

There are so many things to cover, but I’ll begin with some items such as ISO, Aperture, and Shutter Speed. Understanding these items will help get you on your way quickly and make solid foundation to build upon. If you’ve got further topics you’d like to see covered here, please email me (nicksantilli[at]qj.net) or let me know in the comments here.

Thanks for tuning in. Hope this will be fun and helpful for all those reading along. Oh – and for the more advanced shooters out there, look for a couple pieces on RAW file format, and Digital Post Processing in the near future.
