Bandai Plans PS3 Launch Title
Source: IGN
Could that tasty Gundam trailer be playable on day one? Bandai wowed us at Sony’s pre E3 press conference, offering a tasty look at what a next generation Gundam game might look like. So how long will we have to wait for PS3 support from the developer/publisher? Not too long, it seems.
Interviewed in the latest issue of Japan’s Hyper PlayStation monthly magazine, Bandai representatives reveal that the company is working hard to get a game out on the day of the PS3’s Japanese launch in Spring of 2006. Specifics on the game are not provided. It may be based off the pre E3 Gundam demo, or it may be something else.
This marks the first time a company has gone on record with plans for a PS3 launch title. Koei also has given specific time frame for its first PS3 game, Ni-oh, but that game won’t arrive to Japan until Summer of 2006.
Thanks to football for the news.
