Barlog, Sony say God of War 3 video is fake

It seems like Cory Barlog is getting pretty busy debunking rumors this week. A couple of days ago, we posted about Barlog shooting down speculation that God of War 3 for the PS3 is in the works.

This time, he’s set his sights on a video that has recently been circulating around the Internet. The video in question is allegedly an inside look at God of War 3 for the PS3. The video shows 3D model and concept art featuring Kratos, the main character in the God of War series.

Barlog has refuted the authenticity of the video in his own blog – in the very same post where he refuted the earlier God of War 3 rumor, actually. According to IGN, one of their Sony contacts has also said that the video is “a hoax and is in no way affiliated with or endorsed by Sony Computer Entertainment.”

The video we’re talking about is currently up on YouTube. Unfortunately, the video uploaders have disabled embedding features for the video, so here’s an off-site link to it.
