Bayonetta gets official Japanese launch date, pre-order bonus
Sega has finally buckled down and announced an official release date for Platinum Games‘ upcoming insanely stylish action title, Bayonetta (PS3 and Xbox 360). Well, for Japan anyway. The rest of the world still has no specific launch dates. Details after the jump.
Sega has finally buckled down and announced an official release date for Platinum Games‘ upcoming stylishly insane action title, Bayonetta (PS3 and Xbox 360). Well, for Japan anyway. The rest of the world still has no specific launch dates.
1Up reports that Bayonetta will be on retail shelves in Japan beginning October 29. Sega will also be running a pre-order deal with certain Japanese store chains where those who reserve the game will get “Rodin’s Selection,” a soundtrack CD that comes with a pamphlet inside a case made to look like one of the menus from The Gates of Hell, the bar owned by Bayonetta’s friend Rodin.
You know, that right there is one of the reasons why I still prefer physical copies over digital downloads. That’d look great on my shelf. Hopefully a similar pre-order deal will also be instituted for the game’s overseas release. Stay tuned for more updates.
