B-Boy Announced for PSP – Breaking in Crazy Legs
Sony Europe today announced ‘B-Boy’, a new game for the PS2 and PSP that brings B-Boying to the gamer. For those unaware, B-Boying is essentially breaking or break dancing, a form of hip hop dancing that gained visibility in the 1970’s and 1980’s. B-Boys stands for Break Boys, though many female dancers also take center stage.
The game has been made in collaberation with Crazy Legs and DJ Hooch and is set for a September 2006 release. It will use “dynamically controlled fighting system to help you battle the best B-Boys of the planet” without ever leaving the comfort of your armchair. It will include “B-Boy Life” mode where you can build up a B-Boy crew. It’s being developed by FreeStyleGames who suggest the game brings the authenticity of the B-Boy culture to the game. It features more than 800 motion captured moves as players progress. Gamers will also be able to battle with other PSP owners in face-offs using the PSP’s wireless function.
