A few days ago, Sega announced Beijing 2008: the Official Video Game of the Olympic Games. Quite a step from Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games. At any rate, here are new screenshots for Beijing 2008 for the Xbox 360.

As we imagine the gameplay will be the same for other platform versions, we’re taking the liberty to post this for the PS3 and PC as well, just to give you guys a glimpse of what to expect.

The screenshots feature some of the games that will be featured in Beijing 2008, including swimming, the long jump, and the hundred meter dash. Judging from the shots, the game will have to-the-centisecond tracking and a replay feature.

If you notice the architecture of the building of the swimming arena, it looks like it was modeled after the real Beijing Olympic Swimming Centre. Like Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games, all the arenas are probably modeled after the real ones.

The game will come out this summer for the PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
