Best Buy, Future US to launch gaming magazine

The future of print media may be looking grim as compared to the booming Internet, but this is not dissuading Best Buy and Future US from venturing into the industry. According to reports, both companies are planning on partnering up to create their own gaming magazine.

The future of print media may be looking grim as compared to the booming Internet, but this is not dissuading Best Buy and Future US from venturing into the industry. According to reports, both companies are planning on partnering up to create their own gaming magazine.

The magazine will supposedly be made exclusive for the electronic store chain and will be called “@gamer”. It also looks like ex-IGN EIC Andy Eddy will be tapped for this new magazine.

In fact, Eddy’s very own Facebook profile already confirms this as he said, “I’m working at Future US in teh Future Plus group on a new publication called @Gamer, the “official games magazine of Best Buy.”
