Best Buy’s holiday guide: Sharapova and furry rugs
You get the strangest stuff in your mailbox (like the real physical mailbox – not the virtual one). Stuff like junk mail, last week’s overdue invoice from the bank, anonymous death threats, and other material you could definitely do without, thank you very much. Catalogs also pop in from time to time, and usually these end up as reading material while doing #2 on the throne or as clean up material when your puppy did the #2 on your kitchen floor.
But when these pics surfaced in our mailbox (like the virtual mailbox this time – not the physical one), it’s hardly anything unwanted, thank you very much. Derrick DS had posted these on Nintendo Evolve, showing some pages in this year’s holiday guide from Best Buy. It’s part of their campaigns and marketing strategies.
While we couldn’t complain on anything, we’re just a bit concerned about that Wii sitting on top of the furry rug in the first pic. Not only does it have the potential of overheating, but when dear granny takes that game-winning Sharapova swing of hers, the console might tip over and… [shields eyes and turns away]
They’ve also squeezed in a section for the Nintendo DS and a couple of games like Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Blue Rescue Team, Mario vs. Donkey Kong 2: March of the Minis, and other titles.
