Bethesda Denies Next Elder Scrolls
Earlier today in an interview with Xbox365, Bethesda Softworks public relations leader Pete Hines confirmed that development had already begun on the next installment in the series, while an expansion pack for Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion was also underway. Now, however, Hines is denying his previous claims by saying that he “never said anything about another Elder Scrolls game or an expansion.”
Expansions have been released in the past for previous games in the series, and a future Elder Scrolls would obviously be a very popular purchase, so it makes sense that both of these rumors are true. Xbox365 has yet to change the information in their interview with Haines, so we really don’t know who to believe yet. The thought of even more Elder Scrolls is a lot more pleasant to hope for, so we’ll just go ahead and believe in that for the time being.
