Bionic Commando fails to fly, sells only 27K units in US in May
It seems like developer Grin has had a bad May. Despite its roots and the positive reception that met Bionic Commando: Rearmed, the studio’s Bionic Commando was only able to sell 27,000 units in the US during its opening month. More after the jump.
It seems like developer Grin has had a bad May. Despite its roots and the positive reception that met Bionic Commando: Rearmed, the studio’s Bionic Commando was only able to sell 27,000 units in the US during its opening month.
That number includes sales of both the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions over the period of May 19 to May 30.
Gamasutra also reports that another Grin-developed title, Terminator Salvation, sold moderately higher than Bionic Commando with 43,000 units sold. Of course, the tie-in Salvation launched close to the movie of the same name, so the higher numbers aren’t that surprising.
