Think you were excited when you heard that BioShock (PS3, 360, PC) will have a sequel? Well, here’s more good news! Take-Two Interactive‘s chairman Strauss Zelnick has let slip (probably not accidentally) that the franchise will have a third installment.

He was awfully vague, and if it was indeed intentional that he let it slip, he’s an awful tease. He revealed this information when he was asked about a release date for the BioShock movie. Zelnick responded:

It’s unlikely that the picture would be released to coincide with BioShock 2. It would be more likely that it would be released coincidentally with BioShock 3. That also remains to be seen.

He adds that BioShock 2 is due sometime from the period of August to October of 2009. If we have to wait that long for the sequel, it’ll still be some time before we actually get any more hints for BioShock 3. Now we know we also have long to wait for the movie as well.

What a tease.
