BioWare has some long-term plans for Dragon Age: Origins. Apart from the launch day DLC that they’ve announced, Origins producer Mark Darrah says that they already have a two-year road map for the game’s DLC releases.
Here’s what Darrah told The Game Reviews:
Yeah, we have plans that stretch out for basically two years. And itÂ’s going to be everything from really small stuff like item packs up to larger quests that might last an hour or two up to even fully fledged expansion packs. Really itÂ’s a broad long term support plan for the game.
Darrah also said that DLC will stretch out across all of the game’s platforms, with the exception of the PC-only toolset updates, of course. Mods and other user-generated content will also most likely be confined to PC gamers, although BioWare is exploring ways of bringing those to consoles as well.
Dragon Age: Origins launches this November on PS3, PC, and Xbox 360.
