BioWare: Mass Effect DLC can be accessed only after game completion
We know you are rather interested about the newly announced DLC for Mass Effect that is scheduled to go live this coming March. However, we believe that you will be having some problems if you’ve already deleted your savegame file.
BioWare co-founder Ray Muzyka has recently divulged that the DLC can only be accessed once a player has finished the game. More on this after the jump!
We learned a couple of days that BioWare‘s first ever downloadable content for the Xbox 360 game Mass Effect will go live on March 11. It will cost 400 MS Points and will add more or less 90 minutes of new content.
However, we learned that the DLC Bring Down the Sky will require some other things before being fully enjoyed by gamers. You see, Mass Effect doesn’t belong in the sandbox genre so one has to wonder where the additional content comes in.
For those who’ve already finished the game, it should be remembered that completing Mass Effect will take your character to the beginning of the game. BioWare co-founder Ray Muzyka said that this is where the DLC comes into play.
Once you’ve reached the start again, Muzyka said that Commander Shepherd should be placed in control of the Normandy ship once more, past the game’s Eden Prime and Citadel sequences.
The co-founder added that the DLC elements will become visible in the galactic map after one has done several explorations into the universe worth a couple of hours. Given this, we hope you guys haven’t deleted your savegame files yet.
But if you have, you need not worry as you still have a couple of weeks more to finish Mass Effect and be ready for the additional content come March.
