Black Xbox360 spotted at Microsoft event?

As an update to our earlier article about a black Xbox 360 having been spotted in an ad over at Gamespot, we now have more pictures of the alleged black version of the console, taken during a Samsung event.

According to a SmartHouse reader who was present at the said Samsung-Microsoft event in Seattle, the pictures don’t lie this time, as Samsung used the black-hued 360 consoles to demonstrate the connectivity between Samsung LCD screens and the graphics engine of the Xbox 360.

However, when Microsoft was asked to comment, the company’s PR dismissed the rumor and concept of black 360s being in production saying,  “This is pure speculation and not based on any confirmed announcements from Microsoft.” But, if seeing is believing, and there are pictures to prove the existence of the smoked black consoles, Microsoft’s gonna need a better statement than that to put a stop to the rumors once and for all.

Whether these pictures have been photoshopped, or color-inverted using paint, we haven’t made up our minds yet. So here are more pictures for you to scrutinize and check out for yourselves. We’re sure you guys have an opinion on this so feel free to voice them out via comments. Here are two more pictures:
