At the Blue Fes Spring Raid event in Japan, Arc System Works announced a Japanese release date for BlazBlue: Continuum Shift.

The PS3 and Xbox 360 ports of the arcade update to BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger are now set for a simultaneous release on July 1. Importers can snag a copy of the Japanese version for JP¥ 7,140 (about US$ 78). There’s also a limited edition that comes with a visual book and a Noel Nendroid figure for JP¥ 9,660 (US$ 105).

Continuum Shift adds three new characters to the BlazBlue roster. The home console versions also include the node-capturing Legion mode from Calamity Trigger‘s PSP version, a tutorial mode for beginners, and over 300 mid- to high-level challenges in the challenge mode.
