Blizzard’s official response on disappearing WoW items
For those who’ve experienced the bug where items disappear after retrieving goods from the mail in World of Warcraft, we feel your pain. The good news is Blizzard has already isolated the problem (i.e. they’ve replicated it, and are now working on a fix) and solved it via a rolling roll-back. As per the announcement of Forum moderator/ Blizzard poster Drysc.
While quite a few players have been demanding compensation for the lost items, the Game Master department still cannot reimburse the items since an investigation of the problem is still on-going. Even with the fix though the people at Blizzard cannot promise that the items will be reimbursed, so don’t expect the lost items will be returned soon, if at all.
That said, it’s great to find that the guys at Blizzard responded relatively quickly to this problem and that they are already trying to fix it. Be sure to check back here for more updates on World of Warcraft.
