BlizzCon 2008 tickets now available online, DirecTV pay per view package details
Tickets are now up for sale and we fully expect Blizzard fans to make a mad scramble to get a chance to go to the BlizzCon 2008 event. But no need to worry, a stampede is not necessary to get your tickets, cos it’s all online, anyway. Oh, and if you can’t come to Anaheim, let the event come to you via DirecTV. Everything you need to know after the jump.
True to their word, Blizzard has indeed put up the BlizzCon 2008 tickets for sale now. This year’s convention will be the third of its kind, and will be taking place in Anaheim, California on the dates of October 10th and 11th.
It’s a bit pricey, especially with the economic slump and all, at US$ 100, but with all the goodies we’re sure to see, it’s certain that every penny’s gonna be worth it. If you’re in doubt, consider this fact. BlizzCon is a celebration of the player communities all over the world of Blizzard’s successful games, Warcrafft, Starcraft, and Diablo. If these titles alone can’t spell B-I-G for you, then we’re at a loss as to what will.
Tickets are available at the company’s event website, which we’ll be linking to through our source link below. Also, DIRECTV will be in partnership with Blizzard to bring an exclusive pay per view package of HD event coverage to those who can’t physically come to the event. Said package will include a minimum of eight hours of content for each day of the show, as well as interviews, demos, and many more.
Apart from that, a code for an exclusive World of Warcraft in-game polar bear mount, which is otherwise only available in goody bags at the convention, will be provided. So really, it’s all about bringing the event right to the very comforts for your own home.
New subscribers of DIRECTV will be getting this package free as a promotion for those who sign up for the service online through a link posted at the BlizzCon website, blizzcon.com/dtv. Current subscribers can avail of the pay per view package for US$ 39.95.
