Block – an isometric robot puzzle game

Member of the PsPmad Gaming Team (they’re the ones who did the I’ve Been Looking For Frieda surfing game) and regular forum-goer imhotep (hey, isn’t that the Egyptian guy from… oh, wait) just released a rather puzzling homebrew – puzzling in the sense that it is a puzzle game. In the developer’s own words, Block is “an isometric robot puzzle game.”

It’s simpler than it sounds, really. All you’ve got to do is guide the robot to the exit. In the process, you’ve got pull off some Indiana Jones antics – avoid blocks and deal with switches and timed events.

Keep in mind that this game is built on Lua and on its beta stage. imhotep is requesting if you could send him bug reports (through the handy-dandy forum thread linked below). One bug that he’s already made a note of is that the game icon is that of Luaplayer 0.16. This got me confused too when I loaded it up, so make sure you keep it in mind as well. imhotep plans to change the icon soon though, so no worries. It’s still on beta anyways, so we can expect more updates soon.
