Bloody Sneaky! Tenchu: Senran “Stealthy Gameplay” Video
From Software‘s Tenchu 360, also known as Tenchu Senran, for the Xbox 360 is a ninja game that promises:
- customization of your own ninjas; with about 60 million variables to tweak, this means a lot of customization
- two-player cooperative gameplay on Xbox Live
- throughout the game, you develop the skills and moves of your low-level ninjas until they become ninja-worthy
If you can read it, you can always try the official web site for more details. Otherwise, here’s a video from Game Trailers of a ninja at work. Fans of earlier games in the series will be familiar with the dramatic lighting, setting, and music. And the blood. Lots and lots of blood.
As you can see in the video, stealth is an important ninja skill, and like all the other games in the Tenchu series, Tenchu Senran requires judicious use of it. Sword-fighting is a main component in the game, and you can choose to attack enemies head-on, but, as this video shows, it’s sometimes better (and less of a hassle), to just grab, choke, or stab the suckers in the back (we love how Tenchu lets you stab the enemy through the sliding rice-paper doors).
