Blu Ray disk test: kids, don’t try this at home

This article contains some disturbing images of a (hairy) guy mishandling his Blu ray disk. For the faint of heart, turn away. Kids, don’t try this at home.

Somebody over at the IGN Forums has done the unthinkable. He ran steel wool (gasp!) over his Talladega Nights 15 or so times. Then he washed the disk to remove the steel wool fibers, dried it, and played it. Fortunately, it still did. Whew.

We aren’t really sure why anyone would scratch steel wool over Resistance: Fall of Man on purpose but this info would be indispensable for those of you who wipe all your stuff with steel wool. This can be proof of how tough the Blu ray disk is, but remember, when trying to destroy something expensive it is always good to be smart than lucky.
