Blue Dragon: face-off with the giant sand-shark
In this direct-feed from GameVideos, the gameplay to Hironobu Sakaguchi and Mistwalker/Artoon‘s Xbox 360 RPG bid Blue Dragon should be very, very, very familiar. There’s one big shark terrorizing a community, and one brave soul who’ll stop at nothing to end its reign of terror…
Oops, wrong familiarity. The menu-driven, turn-based battle definitely bears shades of commonality to Hironobu’s “other legacy” (we don’t need to say which one, do we?), but the sand shark being visible in the out-of-battle environment also kind of reminded us of the latest installment to that “other legacy.” No matter: our take is that Sakaguchi fans will definitely find themselves in familiar territory with Blue Dragon.
Of course, there’s one part of the battle gameplay that dumps the menus. The Japanese 360 owners are lapping all this gameplay up as we speak. We, on the other hand, gotta wait until 2007 for our serving.
