Blue Orb’s Switchblade now available at most download sites
If you’ve been playing around with JoyToKey for your secret “controller fix” on PC games that otherwise didn’t have such support, you might want to try Blue Orb‘s Switchblade. The free software is loads heavier than the little joystick to keyboard utility but is more inclined for use with the Xbox 360 controller. Plus, it just got more download mirrors.
Blue Orb has just announced via press wire that SwitchBlade, a console player’s buddy software for playing PC games with console controllers, is now available at popular download sites on the Web. In fact, the software is now available for free download at File Planet and Curse, in addition to its official portal at SwitchBlade Gaming.
SwitchBlade is now at version 2.5.3, and allows players on Windows XP and Vista to use the controllers on popular online games. The most popular of its capabilities is a complete remap of most keyboard and mouse controls of Blizzard‘s World of Warcraft on an Xbox 360 controller.
More support for newer online games are sure to come, once key map configurations and official updates roll in. Stay tuned for more.
