Ubisoft announced today that Tom Clancy‘s EndWar will also be dropping on the DS and PSP platforms sometime in the future. No confirmed release windows yet for both handheld versions, but for now, we get a quick peek at some of its features.

Instead of having the same team who did the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of EndWar, Ubisoft’s given developing rights to the Funatics studio for the handheld game. As you may guess, gameplay will be different from its console-cousins. For one, the DS gets stylus-input.

EndWar on the PSP and DS will not be using the same RTS engine that the PS3 and 360 version uses. Instead, the handheld spin-offs will be more of turn-based strategy, complete with “move” and “execute” phases. Sorry, no voice commands are supported.

There are 30 campaigns included in the game, and if that doesn’t satisfy you enough, you can even create your own missions and share them with a friend. Each faction in the game will be composed of some 20 units, dispersed among ground, air, or naval.
