Bookr – new release for 1.50 to 3.xx Kernels
If you remember and loved the PSP homebrew PDF reader Bookr from Carlos Carrasco Martinez (ccm304) and Edward Choh (edwardchoh), then you’ll probably like this new release of the nifty app. PlayStation Portable homebrew developer Mr305 has released a version that is mainly for the PSPs running on FWs 3.xx and 1.50.
More info at the readme and at the full article.

The last time we saw the PDF reader Bookr from PlayStation Portable homebrew developers Carlos Carrasco Martinez (ccm304) and Edward Choh (edwardchoh) was last year when the team released the application’s version 0.7.1. Well, XmbController developer Mr305 has picked up Bookr and updated the app for newer custom firmwares.
If you’re unfamiliar with the said application, here’s a bit of a primer. Bookr is a plain text and PDF reader. Its last release was August last year when the devs added a couple of features to the package. Anyway, for this release, Mr305 made the application compatible with custom firmwares 3.xx and FW 1.50. Here are a few notes from the release thread:
- Just remember to use the CIRCLE button instead of X for select.
- I suggest setting “Fast images to TRUE” in settings.
Anyway, check out the readme file for more information about the tweaked Bookr version 0.7.1.
