A DVD player that carries the Disney branding was recalled because the battery pack may explode. Several owners of these DVD players have had the battery pack overheat when charging and some have even burst causing reported burns. Over 100,000 players were recalled on Thursday April 12, 2006.

The DVD players are sold in 5 different styles and are about 6.5 inches by 5.5 inches with a 3 inch screen. The recalled players each have corresponding model numbers listed on the back. They are:
Princess, DP3500-PRN; Fairy Flowers, DP3500-FLR; Mickey Classic, DP3500-MC; Mickey Mouse, DP3500-MKY; and Power Rangers, DP3500-POW. They were sold between April 2005 to March 2005.
