Brawl Double Update: Donkey Kong and 15-second video

Donkey Kong - Image 1Here’s a treat for everyone who’s been keeping a close eye on one of the highly-anticipated titles for the Nintendo Wii, Super Smash Brothers Brawl – the confirmation of everyone’s favorite gorilla being included in the roster, as well as a short-but-sweet video of the game in all its blistering brawling action.

Yes, you heard that right. Donkey Kong is back – furrowed brow, tie, devastating haymaker punch and all. It’s worth noting that the developers gave him a more realistic look while still retaining this original design. And we can’t help but feel for Link in the screenshot to the right of this article – Monkey stole my damsel-in-distress! Come back!

The second update is truly a gem – 15 seconds of the most fast-paced brawling action we’ve ever seen. The clip starts with Wario pretty much working with what his mom gave him, and finishes with Link’s Final Smash – with sneak peeks of levels, techniques and other final smashes squished in between. Definitely worth a watch, and definitely worth getting excited about. Optically absorb the best-looking 15 seconds of Nintendo’s beat-em-up via the read link we’ve supplied below.

These updates are certainly getting better and better as the recently-announced release date – December 3, 2007 – draws even closer. We’ll be here to keep you up to speed, so watch this space!
