Breaking News : Lara Croft coming to the DS
PSP owners can no longer snicker at their DS counterparts while ogling at Lara Croft. Pocket Gamer has just noticed that hidden away at the bottom of one of Eidos’ financial results’ pages is a bombshell – Lara Croft is coming to the Nintendo DS, and GBA !
Although Eidos doesn’t have much of a reputation for releasing games on Nintendo’s handhelds, this piece of news just goes to show how determined Eidos are to make Tomb Raider such a big success after the disappointments.
No other details have been announced. It is not known who will be developing the game either. Releasing it on the DS will mean that a lot of things will have to be modified for the DS’ special features, and we can only hope that they give the job to one of the ‘Handheld-Specialists’.
While the PSP version will be out in May, DS and GBA owners will have to wait until the summer to get their hands on Lara’s new adventure.
