“Brix” Photography
An interactive piece of art, what a concept!
Brix was was a research project that was developed by 2 friends, Hieko Hansen and Helen Evans who attended the Interaction Design Institute in Italy.
This project includes 2 different types of bricks:
- light brick: will change to any color as instructed
- camera brick: records an image from the environment around it and tells the light bricks what color to change
So essentially, the virtual wall of bricks will capture what’s infront of it and reflects it back as a still image. The bricks appear separate from one another but really are connected so they can transmit information.
This is a futuristic type of art that one day we may find in home and stores to personalize the living and shopping environment.
