Bubbling some good wine with Dragon Quest Swords screens
One of the longest-running RPGs that’s probably even older than that wine bottle in your ancestral house is Dragon Quest. And just like good wine, the longer it stays, the better it gets. With the Wii, Square Enix found a perfect opportunity to take their franchise to the golden level of wine standards and come out with Dragon Quest Swords.
If you’ve played a couple of games from the series, one unique feature of the franchise is that the battle system is set in a turn-based first-person system. While this was fun in the previous generation of platforms, you can’t simply brush aside that the Wiimote and Nunchuck would further enhance the battle experience by fully immersing you into combat.
If you’ve seen the gameplay vid, you know what we’re talking about. You’re going to be able to use your sword and shield to engage in full combat with more than just smiley slimes. Swing your sword the right way, in the right angle, and you get to hit more foes. Block a blow from an enemy by holding up the shield in the right position on the screen.
