Bungie: Matchmaking Playlist Update delayed
Frankie of Bungie comes bearing grim news for Halo 2 players: the matchmaking playlist update that they’ve marked for this week has now been held back.
The reason for the delay? “We are holding this update while we investigate and fix some of the Xbox Live download problems that people have been reporting.”
It’s all good, though, as Frankie adds that “almost everyone who initially had issues downloading maps should now be able to do so.” Almost everyone, as there could be a small percentage of players left who are still having problems downloading. But as Frank has said, they’re working hard with the Xbox Live team to find out just what’s causing the hiccups and then fix it.
Not to worry, though, as the much-awaited update is slated to occur next week (of course, that still depends on the outcome with Bungie and Xbox Live working together). Frankie also reminds players that while waiting for the update, both Tombstone and Desolation can still be enjoyed in online custom games and offline Splitscreen/System Link play.
