Bungie rolls out first Matchmaking Playlist Update for Halo 3
If you’re like us over here at QJ.Net, you love the Matchmaking feature of Bungie Studios‘ Halo 3. After all, not only do we get to play our favorite type of online multiplayer games, but we also get to play with people from all over the world – right in the comfort of our own living room. And Bungie knows that we do – and thus, they’re constantly trying to make it better, and this first Matchmaking Playlist Update for Master Chief‘s last adventure is proof of that.
So what’s fixed this time around? Let’s check lukems’ official Bungie update post to see exactly what.
- Big Team Battle matches are now 16-player affairs.
- In the Team Slayer playlist, the appearance of Shotty Snipers has been greatly reduced.
- Now, when players veto Shotty Snipers, the game that results from the veto will not be Shotty Snipers.
- In one-sided VIP matches, the attacking team will now see a waypoint for the VIP they are hunting.
- In Lone Wolves, Slayer gametypes will appear more frequently.
As much as we like Shotty Snipers, it tends to get old – after the first few dozen times it pops up in Team Slayer. So it’s a good thing that Bungie’s gone ahead and went with reducing the amount of times it appears. And veto-ing that exact game mode doesn’t make it pop up again. The waypoint for the VIP is also good, as it’s difficult to keep track of who to protect/hunt during a very heated match.
Well, that’s it for this update of Halo 3. See you online!
