BusinessWeek Says PS3 Will Have A Hard Drive.
It seems that in stark contrast to earlier reports, that great bastion of videogame news BusinessWeek, has stated that the PS3 will indeed end up with a hard drive and a sizable one at that. In an article dated February 9th, 2006 by Japan based Kenji Hall which explores the idea that the PS3 might end up doing to much for its own good, hall quietly drops this little bomb:
“To attract teens and parents alike, the console plays high-definition games and movies from Blu-ray DVDs. It boasts a huge hard disk to store photos, music, and TV shows.”
Don’t get too excited just yet, it’s possible that BusinessWeek, not exactly videogame savvy (bless ’em), misinterpreted its information. The rest of the article touches on rumored PS3 price points, technology and the consoles various applications (drawing parallels to the ill fated PSX), making the statement that “This Playstation may play too much” – Not for me it won’t!
