Call of Duty 4 calls CoD fans back: Alpha video teaser

When Infinity Ward and Activision first revealed Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3), it dumbfounded the CoD fanbase with its direction toward present day combat. Iraq War controversies and Battlefield series recommendations aside, however, this video entitled “Bog Rescue” from an Alpha build of the game is having alluring effects on the war shooter inside of us.

And we can instantly see why destructive environments aren’t in Infinity Ward’s books: the intense action would reduce the entire map to rubble in an hour of gameplay. We’re talking bullets flying (accurately, we presume, thanks to laser sights), AH-64’s crashing, liberal use of TOWs and rocket-propelled grenades – destructive ingredients to destroy a map in mere minutes. We can imagine “Take cover!” will become the most difficult order to follow.

Jokes aside though, gamers’ preferences ultimately give the game the thumbs up or down. And if you’ve been mighty curious just how Call of Duty plays out in present day, fictional Earth, feel free to view the video below.
