Call of Duty 4 Double XP Weekend, DLC promos for Xbox 360; PS3 Weekend coming soon

Xbox 360 gamers will be earning double XP in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (PC, PS3, Xbox 360) this weekend along with some DLC promos on the Marketplace. PS3 gamers will also get their own Double XP Weekend, but schedule conflicts have pushed it back to a later date. More in the full article.

Xbox 360 gamers will be earning double XP in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (PC, PS3, Xbox 360) this weekend. The event will start Friday, September 12, and will run until Sunday, September 14.

Some of the Infinity Ward staff will also be going online this weekend for the Play With Devs event at 4 P.M. PDT on Saturday. Keep an eye out for the Infinity Ward staffers even before or after the event, though, as they will apparently be joining in on the action unofficially all weekend long.

In addition, the Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Variety Map Pack will be getting a 50% price cut. Those who haven’t downloaded it yet will be able to get it from the Xbox Live Marketplace for a mere 400 MS Points. The Prestige Gamer pic pack will also be making a reappearance on the Marketplace.

PS3 players will also be getting their own Double XP Weekend, but it’ll be closer to September 18 due to schedule conflicts.
