When they say realistic war video games increase respect for history, we find it hard not to believe after watching this new trailer of Activision and Infinity Ward‘s Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (Microsoft Xbox 360, Sony PlayStation 3, PC). Titled “ragtime warfare,” this video is all about how sweet yet bitter the battlefield can be.

What you’ll see is a snippet of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare‘s gameplay stylized with gritty gray color tones and old school 40s music in the background. Reminiscent of the World War II setting Call of Duty titles always brought to us, it sure is a good attempt to look like a movie from back then when color on the silver screen was but a dream.
