Call of Duty 4 special event soon; Double XP Weekend possible

PS3 and 360 owners get some CoD4 treats their way… we’re just not sure what it is just yet though. Heck, even Robert Bowling himself isn’t certain about the details just yet, but chances are, we might get another round of Double XP soon. And if we’re really lucky, maybe even more than that too. Better notch those calendars for next, next week! Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare may be getting another Double XP Weekend – and then some, if we’re lucky.

Infinity Ward‘s Robert Bowling has announced via his IAMfourtwozero blog that a special event will be prepared for Call of Duty 4 players on XBL and PSN. This will take place on the weekend of September 13-14.

Bowling, however, isn’t quite sure yet what exactly will happen during that weekend and that he has “a gut feeling itÂ’ll have Double XP attached to it for all those hungry for some power-leveling on Call of Duty 4.”

There’s going to be some XBL banners promoting the event – Bowling’s currently working on those. And on a side note, he’s also working on the Playlists, and it’s only his hope that they would be ready in time for one big promotion during the said September 13-14 weekend.
